Artists: Ali Al Mahmeed

Born on 31 October 1945 in Bahrain, Ali was an Arts Teacher From 1964 to 1982. He is a founding member of The Bahrain Arts Society and the current President of the Society. He represented the Society in numerous cultural events and art exhibitions, both in Bahrain and internationally.

Chairman of the Bahrain International Sculptures Symposium, some of his sculptures and paintings are displayed in the Bahrain National Museum as well as in numerous private collections in Bahrain, Kuwait, London, Beirut, Dubai, Finland, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Russia, France, Cyprus, Oman & Jordan.

Winner of numerous prestigious prizes and awards, he continues to participate in many national and international exhibitions, while running his own gallery, Hend Gallery in Muharraq.

A specialist of screen-printing, his passion for calligraphy is reflected in the playful work he chose for his first collaboration with YallaHabibi.
